Guest Instructor - Quentin Cooke Sensei (7th Dan)

We are pleased to invite Quentin Cooke Sensei from Burwell Aikido Club (www.burwell-aikido.co.uk)for the first time. Quentin Sensei has been practising Aikido since 1984 and was awarded 7th Dan by Koretoshi Maruyama Sensei in 2011. In 2004, along with his brother Piers Cooke, he founded the Aikido for Daily Life association. He is also a qualifying member of Peace Dojos International and serving Vice President of Aiki Extensions.
All styles and organisations are welcome to join us. Please bring proof of insurance with you.
The fee for training will be £6 per person.
Guest Instructor - Piers Cooke Sensei (7th Dan)

We are honoured to have Piers Cooke Sensei from Surrey Hills Aikido Club teaching at our dojo again.
In Piers Sensei’s words “I started practising Aikido in 1982 under the auspices of Ken Williams Sensei. I remained with him until 1999 and set up the Aikido for Daily Life assocatiion, with my brother, in 2004. We were both graded 7th Dan by Koretoshi Maruyama Sensei, who was an uchi deshi for the founder of Aikido (Morihei Ueshiba) and also a student of Koicihi Tohei Sensei”.
Piers Cooke Sensei is also the Chariman of the British Aikido Board (www.bab.org.uk) - the National Governing Body for Aikido in the UK.
